One of Australia’s most experienced and cherished improvisers, Andrew Morrish, will be performing in Perth and Melbourne this August.

Together with Humphrey Bower, Morrish will perform Terror Incognita, described as “an evening of improvisational mayhem” at the State Theatre Centre of WA’s Studio Underground, 18 and 19 August. Morrish and Bower are joined by guests from STRUT Dance’s Collaboration Workshop, who have spent ten days interrogating the space where choreography collides with text.

See the STRUT website for more info.

In Melbourne Morrish will present "Oh Well Parts 21, 22 and 23", three extended solo improvisations, at Dancehouse. His tragicomic theatrical world is built through movement and text and generously basted with the spirit of direct communication. "Oh Well" is a piece, a season and a practice. Each part of the "Oh Well" series is unique, a product of that evening, a search for what is necessary now.

The "Oh Well" project started in Melbourne, July 2015, and will finish with Part 26 at Tanzfabrik, Berlin in February 2018. In between there were "Oh Well" performances in Adelaide (S.A.), Ljubjana (Slovenia), Berlin (Germany), Bouxwiller (France), Zagreb Croatia), Orbost (Vic), Paris (France) and Poznan (Poland).
