Hello from sunny Darwin!
Melbourne City Ballet has escaped the Melbourne cold and we are making the most of the sunshine in the Northern Territory. After four days and four shows to sold out audiences in North Queensland, we enjoyed a much-needed day off in Darwin before performing at the Entertainment Centre there.
We spent the day exploring the city, did a bit of shopping, watched the sunset at the beach and had a delicious Italian group dinner. For me, the sunset down on the beach was definitely the highlight of the trip so far.
It was a real treat performing for such a wonderful and enthusiastic audience at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. We can't wait to come back! Two more stops left for us on the Northern Territory leg of our tour. We are performing in Katherine next and then on to Tennant Creek, both of which will be a first for me. I'm very excited to explore the areas and bring our production of A Midsummer Night's Dream to these towns.
