Streetdance was one of the most successful independent British films ever produced. Now a sequel is about to hit our screens – bigger, bolder, better and this time it’s in 3D!

Streetdance 2 features the  same crew who produced the original. It features Sofia Boutella (Eva), who has danced on two of Madonna’s world tours (Confessions and Sticky & Sweet), and most recently performed as the lead in the promotional video for Michael Jackson’s posthumous single release Hollywood Tonight. Alongside her is Falk Hentschel (Ash), who was last seen on the big screen in the Tom Cruise action thriller, Knight & Day. They head a diverse cast of new and emerging dance and acting talent, along with returning familiar faces.

The choreographers are brothers Richmond and Anthony Talauega, who have choreographed music videos for Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez and Madonna as well as the finale battle in Step Up 3D. They recently choreographed Madonna’s performance at the Super Bowl.

The synopsis: To beat the world’s best dance crew, street dancer Ash with new friend Eddie sets off to gather the greatest street dancers from around Europe, falling in love with beautiful salsa dancer Eva in Paris.

The film was shot on location throughout Europe, including London, Paris, Rome and Berlin and promises a spectacular dance fusion of Latin and Street Dance.
