Apply for Dance North secondment
Dancenorth in Townsville is inviting 25 young dance artists from Australia and New Zealand to participate in a full time secondment experience led by the Dancenorth Ensemble with Amber Haines (Associate Artistic Director).
The five-day program incorporates exploring various movement methodologies within elongated morning classes, creative workshops and task processes, environmental responsive sessions within the stunning North Queensland landscape, and interrogation of Dancenorth repertoire.
After a successful pilot program in 2021, the Dancenorth Community Experience team is once again offering a three-day intensive workshop focused on collaborating with communities in dance. Led by Alice Lee Holland (Dancenorth’s Community Experience Manager), this intensive is held the week after Dancenorth’s Secondment Week and is open to dance artists interested in exploring the intersection between dance and diverse communities.
Dancenorth is committed to offering all Secondment Program opportunities to participants free of charge ensuring equity of access to these kinds of professional development opportunities - as Dancenorth believes in investing in the next generation of dance artists.
