The Trustee of the UK Dancers Pension Scheme has asked us to publish this letter:

Dear Editor,

I am a current Board member of the Dancers Pension Scheme which was established in 1983.

Dancers from these participating companies - Birmingham Royal Ballet; English National Ballet; Northern Ballet; Rambert Dance; Richard Alston Dance; Royal Opera House; Scottish Ballet; and Siobhan Davies Dance – were able to join and contribute to the scheme to provide them with a pension.

The Dancers Pension Scheme currently has over 1,000 members.  Many of these members have now left the employment of one of the participating dance companies.  Regretfully we have lost contact and are unable to trace about 100 members. This can be because the member had not notified the Trustee of a change in their contact details; had reverted to a non-professional or married name; had simply forgotten they ever contributed to the scheme or were unsure how to contact us. The administrators have traced a number of members but have been unsuccessful with this remaining group.

If you think you were a member of the Dancers Pension Scheme and didn’t receive a statement last October or indeed haven't had any communication from the Scheme, we would ask you to get in touch.  Alternatively if you are still in touch with other dancers who might have been in the Scheme, we would be grateful if you could bring this letter to their attention.

The administrators of the Dancers Pension Scheme can be contacted on +44 (0) 2895 053169 or by email at Dancers@xafinityconsulting.com

With kind regards

Richard Thom, Trustee

For and on behalf of Dancers Pension Scheme
