Congratulations to Bronte Barnett, a student of Sydney College of Dance, who has been accepted into the prestigious School of the Hamburg Ballet, on a full scholarship.
Bronte (16) has been dancing at Sydney College of Dance since she was four years old, and has been a student of the school’s pre-professional program since 2017. She competed in the Prix de Lausanne in February, where she was approached by a number of European schools. After consideration she chose to go with the offer put forward by John Neumeier, the internationally-renowned choreographer and director of the Hamburg Ballet and its school, which not only includes the full scholarship to cover fees but a rarely offered stipend to cover living expenses.
Bronte will start at the School of Hamburg Ballet in 2021.
