Dancebourne presents 'Viva'
Following a successful performance in Florence, Italy, Dancebourne Arts has returned to its hometown of Melbourne to present its fourth annual program - "VIVA" (comprising of four new choreographies) at the Darebin Arts Centre on October 2.
The first ballet, Viva, choreographed by Artistic Director Luanne Hyson, is a dazzling, spirited and fast-paced piece danced to Louis Moreau Gottschalk's famous Grande Tarentella. The second piece, Liszt Variations, by senior choreographer Geraldine Lett, is a stunning, vibrant, neo-classical work presented in four movements to piano concerti by Franz Liszt. The third piece, a dynamic contemporary work, has been developed by choreographer Kathleen Skipp to original music composed for the "VIVA" program by Josh Mitchell. This new work will be Kathleen's third original work created for Dancebourne Arts. The fourth work is artist/dancer Rosie Osmond's first conceptual choreographic work for Dancebourne Arts.
Performing on the night will be Jesse Clune, Chiara Ferri, Luanne Hyson, Akiho Kinoshita, Rosie Osmond, Beatrice Ramsay, and Madisson Salan.
