The funeral will be held on Wednesday August 3 for Harold Collins, the former artistic director of the Queensland Ballet.
Collins was born in Armidale, NSW, in 1942, and was a principal dancer with the Queensland Ballet before being appointed director in 1979. He led the company for 18 years, choreographing many ballets during that time. He has remained active as a teacher, choreographer and also as director of the Queensland Youth Ballet.
Collins died on July 30, of melanoma. He will be sadly missed.
His funeral is being held at Citipointe Church, 322 Wecker Rd, Carindale, at 2.00 p.m.
