While the COVID-19 restrictions meant that the 37th Annual Green Room Awards could not be held at a bricks and mortar venue, the event was instead held online on Monday 6 April.

Hosted by Otto and Astrid, the nominees and winners were announced by actor Rob Meldrum via a series of YouTube clips running across the evening.

Awards were presented across the genres of cabaret, contemporary and experiential performance, dance, independent theatre, musical theatre, opera and theatre companies.

Dance and musical theatre award winners included:

Dance

Performer (two winners):

  • Dalisa Pigram - Le Dernier Appel/The Last Cry (Marrugeku in association with Arts House as part of Dance Massive)
  • Vicki Van Hout – plenty serious TALK TALK (Vicki Van Hout in association with Arts House and YIRRAMBOI Festival)

Duet and Ensemble Performance:
