Join SDC Pre-Professional Year program 2021?
The opportunity to find out what's required in an audition for Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year program has arrived. Sydney Dance Company head of training, Linda Gamblin, and Pre-Professional Year Course co-ordinator, Omer Backley-Astrachan, will host virtual open sessions on Tuesday 11 August and Sunday 23 August for candidates.
The sessions will consist of a forty-five minute contemporary improvisation class and a fifteen-minute Q&A, allowing potential applicants to experience the teaching philosophies of Pre-Professional Year and ask any questions they have about the program.
The sessions will be held via Zoom. Dancers who wish to participate in the improvisation class join from the commencement of the session, while parents or family members who wish to hear more information about the course but do not wish to partake in the class may join forty-five minutes into the session.
