RESEARCH ON LEGAL RIGHTS OF BALLET DANCERS IN AUSTRALIA
Call to participate in survey
A doctoral study at the University of Technology Sydney is conducting a survey on the legal rights of ballet dancers in Australia. As of date, there is no research or data on the legal challenges or concerns faced by dancers in relation to their dance performances. Many ballet dancers have been severely hit due to the lockdown. By participating in this research, you will help the researchers to better understand your legal concerns or challenges and whether royalties could mitigate some of your economic challenges."
The survey seeks information on important issues such as royalties, unauthorised use and performance contracts.
Australian ballet dancers irrespective of their age, gender, and employment status are invited to participate in the survey.
The survey will expire on 2nd February 2021.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and will take around 10-15 minutes to complete.
By participating in the study, you will help the researchers to better understand the legal challenges faced by ballet dancers in relation to their dance performances.
