Attention young Australian dancers!
Registrations are now open for the Australian Youth Dance Festival (AYDF) 2017.
Traditionally the AYDF has been held in regional centres but this year, for the first time ever, it will be held in a capital city… Melbourne from 14-17 April.
Aimed at dancers aged 14-25, the 2017 AYDF provides opportunities to access some of the finest dance experiences available in Australia, in a supportive, non-competitive environment that encourages participation and learning.
Directed by Adam Wheeler, the 2017 AYDF program includes:
• AYDF2017 Opening Ceremony (14 April) – to celebrate the vibrant and diverse youth dance sector in Australia
• Full day 90-min intensives in various dance styles (15 April)
• Choreographic intensives (16 April)
• Performance-based intensives (17 April)
In addition to the workshops, AYDF 2017 will include a gala evening of perfomances entitled “Emergence”, featuring at least six new works from Australian youth dance companies.

NB – there is a special earlybird price – offer ends 15 February.
