If you’re a fan of the yellow Wiggle, Emma Watkins, you might be interested to know that she’ll be on the panel of this year’s Wakakirri Story-Dance Challenge. Known for her dancing, Watkins will join Justine Clarke, Andrew McFarlane, Alex Papps and Caroline Kaspar to adjudicate Australia’s largest performing arts challenge for schools.
In searching for ‘Story of the Year’, the national Wakakirri Story-Dance Challenge sees hundreds of primary and secondary schools performing original story-dances in theatres across Australia. Each story-dance is a 3-7 minute performance incorporating dance, drama and theatrics to tell a story.
Entries close April 3 2019, with performances taking place in Term 3.
