Saturday 19 March saw 20 Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) schools from Victoria and Tasmania gather at the National Theatre in St Kilda for the RAD Showcase. The schools performed a variety of styles incluing classical ballet, neo-classical ballet, Spanish dance and contemporary.

As the winner of the 2015 Joan Burnett Scholarship in Tasmania, Emily Waters (student of Shayne Davies) performed a classical solo representing her state. 

The Victorian Award winners also performed solos including Kathleen Gorham Memorial Scholarship winner Luke Dimittina (student of Janne Blanch), Audrey Nicholls Grade awards winner Thomas Jones (student of Brian Nolan) and Audrey Nicholls Senior Grade Awards winner Isabella Wagar (student of Jane Moore).

With nearly 250 students performing, the event was organised by the RAD Victorian and Tasmania regional panel to help raise funds to host the Genée International Ballet Competition in Sydney in December.
