Brisbane's Australasian Dance Collective is thrilled to be embarking on a tour through autumn and winter.
The company is taking its highly-praised program, "THREE: Lister / Lane / Shechter" – the same program that premiered to rave reviews at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in 2021. The program comprises Still Life, by Jack Lister, Alterum, by Melanie Lane, and Cult, by Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter.
The tour begins in Toowoomba on May 10 and finishes up at Redlands on July 1.
The tour of THREE coincides with the appointment of choreographer and ADC company dancer Jack Lister as ADC’s Creative Associate.
ADC's Artistic Director Amy Hollingsworth says Lister is an exceptional talent, continually seeking new ways to hone his craft and evolve as an artist. His Still Life is inspired by the artworks of the 16th and 17th century Memento Mori movement. Melanie Lane is one of Australia’s strongest choreographic voices, seamlessly blending elegance with sexy, edgy physicality. Hofesh Shechter is an internationally sought-after choreographer, and Cult is the work that propelled him into his global career.
