Independent choreographer Anton’s next work delves into the psyche of what it is to be human in our modern world. Called SuperModern Dance Of Distraction, it promises to be “fast paced highly skilled dance which embodies a collage of characters, caught between themselves and the rapid change of today’s age”.
The choreography stems from Anton’s personal ideology of the modern world and the idea of personal space. Anton observes human experience amongst social structure and functioning, and the blurring between physical and conceptual space.
The dancers are Kristina Chan, Robbie Curtis, Timothy Ohl and Sophia Ndaba. The work features new music by Nick Wales, Jai Pyne and Timothy Constable.
SuperModern Dance Of Distraction is on at Lennox Theatre, Parramatta Riverside Theatres, from March 28-31.
