Audition for Houston Academy!

The Houston Ballet Academy is coming to Australia in January as part of international audition tour for its 2019 Summer Intensive Program.

Since its founding in 1955, Houston Ballet Academy has provided the highest quality ballet training to aspiring dancers. In the words of the company’s Australian Artistic Director Stanton Welch, "Houston Ballet Academy is the very foundation of Houston Ballet, where we develop our future company.” The Academy's outstanding faculty includes teachers who have performed with Houston Ballet and other prestigious companies around the world. In addition to being the fifth largest ballet company in America, Houston Ballet also boasts Houston Ballet II, which provides students with the opportunity to dance leading roles in varied repertoire, allowing the dancers to develop performance experience, while serving the community by providing quality, professional performances in Houston and around the world.

The six week Summer Intensive Program will take place at Houston Ballet’s Center for Dance June 17-July 27, 2019. Students will be immersed in classes six to eight hours per day, six days a week, learning from world-class instructors. Students will also explore Houston hthrough field trips to attractions such as NASA, the Museum of Natural Science and the Schlitterbahn Waterpark.
