London’s Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance is holding auditions in Australia for its vocational full-time degree program in ballet and contemporary dance.

Auditions will be held in Sydney and Brisbane and will be conducted by new principal and artistic director of the school Amanda Britton, herself a former Rambert dancer. “We are coming to Australia as we want to find the most exciting, expressive dancers from across the world. Rambert School is unique in the UK in offering a dual focus in both classical ballet and contemporary dance,” says Britton. “At Rambert School we believe we can offer dancers the opportunity to develop their creativity and individuality, as well as equipping them with a thorough and intensive training in both techniques. I am looking for performers who have a real passion for dance. We seek a real diversity among our dancers and encourage them to perform and choreograph with individual creative expression. Rambert School is committed to developing the world class dancers and choreographers of tomorrow.”

Sydney Dance Company’s Chloe Leong is an Australian Rambert School graduate. Last year she won the Helpmann Award for Best Female Dancer.
