Registrations are now open for the 2012 Australian Youth Dance Festival (AYDF), to be held in Gosford, New South Wales, 8-14 April.  The AYDF provides young people from around Australia with the opportunity to engage with professional choreographers over five days of intensive training, creative development and performance.

Highlights of the festival, entitled "Dance to Discover", include:
- A workshop program offering contemporary dance, hip hop, film, physical theatre and Indigenous dance technique classes
- A new site specific dance work, Shades of Us, performed by all AYDF participants at Mt Penang Gardens for the Gosford community
- The "Dance to Discover" performance evening showcasing work by local and interstate dancers.

AYDF Artistic Director Rowan Marchingo has assembled a team of established Australian choreographers for the Dance to Discover program, including Anton, Sue Healey, Philip Channells (Artistic Director, Restless Dance Theatre), Vicki Van Hout, Kay Armstrong (Artistic Director, youMove Company), Lee Pemberton (Artistic Director fLing Physical Theatre) and Ingrid Kleinig (Legs on the Wall).

Be part of the AYDF and take advantage of the early bird offer closing 15 December 2011.  Registrations are open for individuals, dance schools and groups, community groups and dance teachers.
