Australia’s own Raw Dance Company is currently in New York, where its latest show, Untapped, is playing to sold out crowds as well as critical acclaim from The New York Times. From New York, Raw will head straight to the Adelaide Festival’s Garden of Unearthly Delights.
Untapped serves up a mix of urban tap, street style and hip sounds, overlaid with a healthy dose of self-deprecating Aussie humour. The cast features Brianna Taylor, Sally Hare, Jack Chambers (also co-choreographer), Kieran Heilbronn and Ginner Whitcombe. Untapped is performed with live musicians, as well as beatboxer Genesis.
Untapped features flamenco-inflected tap, African tribal rhythms, and vocal and athletic feats. The show plays the Garden of Unearthly Delights from 25 February to 13 March.
