Emma Sandall reports from the Sydney Eisteddfod McDonald's ballet scholarships and open jazz dance group finals, held at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday August 3.

Congratulations to Kayla-Maria Tarantolo from McDonald College, NSW and Daniel Russell training at the Sydney Dance Company Pre Professional Year, NSW, who won first place and runner-up respectively. The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet Performance Award went to Bethany Cockburn and Noah Dunlop. All eight finalists danced superbly.

Congratulations also to the Village Performing Arts Centre from Alexandria, NSW for winning the Open Jazz Finals with their work "Heaven Knows" with second place going to Qld National Ballet School, (Newmarket Qld) and third to Brent Street (Moore Park, NSW).
