This June dance students from the Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts (ACPA) will take audiences into the faded velvet, smoke-and-mirrors world of Penelope Mullen’s Blaque Bordello, a private and explosive environment of secret trysts, simmering jealousies and stark realities.
Students will be joined by special musical guest and ACPA alumni, Jonathan Jeffrey, who graduated with a Diploma in Performing Arts in 2009. Also making a cameo appearance is seasoned dance artist Brian Lucas, in a role specifically created for him.
