West Australian Ballet (WAB), Australia's oldest ballet company, has unveiled a glittering new partnership with Argyle Pink Diamonds™, aptly named the "Rare Gem" collaboration. This unique alliance will see Argyle Pink Diamonds™ funding a 12-month scholarship within WAB's esteemed Young Artists Program, providing invaluable support for emerging talent.

The "Rare Gem" partnership aims to nurture and develop promising young dancers, mirroring the meticulous process of uncovering and refining rare pink diamonds. This scholarship will offer a rising star the opportunity to hone their skills through dedicated mentorship and extensive performance experience, paving the way for a successful professional ballet career.

"We are delighted to partner with Argyle Pink Diamonds through the Rare Gem partnership," stated Lauren Major, Executive Director of West Australian Ballet. "The process of finding and developing young, talented dancers is akin to the process of uncovering and transforming rare diamonds from deep within the earth. Our Young Artists program is an opportunity for precious few young dancers and even fewer, to be supported through the Rare Gem affiliation."

The spotlight for 2025 shines brightly on Samantha Green, who has been named Argyle Pink Diamonds' inaugural "Rare Gem." Green's impressive trajectory includes accolades from Youth Ballet WA and a First Class Honours degree in Dance from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Throughout the year, she will immerse herself in the full WAB experience, performing in every mainstage season, embarking on regional tours, and participating in special events.

Sinead Kaufman, Chief Executive of Rio Tinto Minerals, highlighted the shared values between the two organisations. "Beauty and perfection drive both our Argyle Pink Diamonds business and West Australian Ballet. Rare pink diamonds, forged under extreme conditions from the depths of the earth, mirror the discipline and dedication that results in the breathtaking beauty of ballet. We are honoured to share the passion of what we do through the Rare Gem partnership. We congratulate Samantha on being our 2025 Rare Gem and we look forward to being part of her year of transformation."

This partnership represents a significant investment in the future of Australian ballet, providing a rare and precious opportunity for a young dancer to flourish. The "Rare Gem" collaboration is set to illuminate the stage, showcasing the dedication, artistry, and brilliance shared by both Argyle Pink Diamonds™ and West Australian Ballet.
