Lucy Guerin Inc has revealed the three choreographers chosen to create new work for its PIECES 2024 program.

They are Joel Bray, Tra Mi Dinh and Alisdair Macindoe. Bray and Macindoe are based in Melbourne/Naarm, while Tra Mi Dinh works between Melbourne/Naarm and Sydney/Gadigal.

Presented by Lucy Guerin Inc and University of Melbourne Arts and Culture (UMAC), PIECES is an annual program which spotlights innovative contemporary performances. These three choreographers will each contribute a distinct and powerful voice to an eclectic triple bill at the Union Theatre in the Arts & Culture Building, Parkville Campus, Melbourne University.

Bray is a proud Wiradjuri man and Artistic Director of Joel Bray Dance. He was most recently a choreographer in residence for Chunky Move. Dinh won the Keir Choreographic Award, for her duet The_ in 2022. Among Macindoe's many achievements are being awarded the 2020-21 Sidney Myer Foundation Creative Fellowship and the 2022 Chloe Munro Mid-Career Fellowship. You can read their full details here.
