Greg Page, the original Yellow Wiggle, is set to trade his skivvy for a presidential sash as he joins the cast of the upcoming Australian production of Annie. Page will play President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the beloved Broadway musical, which opens at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney on March 25 before transferring to Melbourne’s Princess Theatre in July.

Known to generations of children as the energetic frontman of The Wiggles, Page is a trained musician and vocalist whose passion for performing has taken him from children’s entertainment icon to the world of musical theatre. His involvement in The Wiggles saw him co-create numerous hit songs, television series, and live tours, solidifying their status as global children’s entertainment superstars.

Page joins a star-studded cast, including Anthony Warlow as Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, Debora Krizak as Miss Hannigan, Mackenzie Dunn as Lily St. Regis, and Keanu Gonzalez as “Rooster” Hannigan. Amanda Lea LaVergne will play Grace Farrell. Four young performers, Beatrix Alder, Matilda Casey, Dakota Chanel, and Stephanie McNamara, will share the titular role of Annie.

The talented ensemble cast also features Luke Alleva, Cameron Boxall, Tim Brown, Emily Casey, Nakita Clarke, Andrew Dunne, Sebastian Johnston, Anna Mallows, Chloë Marshall, Kristina McNamara, Tom New, Ryan Orphel, Madeline Pratt, Lisa Sontag, Suzanne Steele and Dean Vince. Several young performers will share the various orphan roles, including Pepper, Duffy, Kate, Tessie, July, Molly and Friday.

Annie, with its iconic score featuring classics like “It’s the Hard-Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” and “Tomorrow,” is a timeless musical masterpiece. Based on the popular Harold Gray comic strip “Little Orphan Annie,” the musical premiered on Broadway in 1977 and went on to win seven Tony Awards. It has since become a global phenomenon, playing in over 22 countries and inspiring a beloved 1982 film adaptation.

This new Australian production promises to be a celebration of hope, family, and friendship, bringing the heartwarming story of Little Orphan Annie to a new generation.
