Six Australian-trained students and one New Zealand student have been selected to compete in the 2025 finals of the Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland.

They are Xavier Xue Barriga (Qld Ballet Academy); Yve-Noelle Bollinger (Amanda Bollinger Dance Academy, Qld); Jessica Cooper (Classical Coaching Australia, Qld); Ho Yin Hui (New Zealand School of Dance); Rebecca Lopes (Australian Ballet School, Melbourne); Tahlia Szumowski (Qld College of Dance) and Oscar Taggart (Alegria Dance Studios, Sydney).

Altogether, 39 entered from Australia, 30 girls and nine boys. The Prix received 445 entries from 42 countries, with the largest number coming from the United States (91) and Japan (78). 

Australia was one of the biggest contingent in terms of entry numbers, coming in fourth behind South Korea and the P.R. China (41 each).

A total of 86 have made it into the final, which will be held from February 2 to 9 at the  Beaulieu Theatre and Congress Centre Lausanne.
