There’s no doubt that Emily Seymour (16) is on a roll. The latest news from Emily?
She was the only Australian to make the grand final of the Youth America Grand Prix, making her one of the top twenty female dancers in the competition. After receiving multiple scholarship offers, Emily has accepted a place with Houston Ballet II , Houston Ballet’s student ballet company.
As reported in March, Emily, a student of Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy (TPCCA) has had an incredible 12 months – you can read more about her achievements to date here.
In addition to Emily’s success, TPCCA had an ensemble make the grand final as well. Dancing the Pas de Six from The Polar Express, the group placed in the top 12 in the ensemble section of the competition. If you’re in Sydney you can see the Pas de Six performed as part of the Sydney City Youth Ballet’s season of The Polar Express, 2-7 July at the Glen Street Theatre.
