West Australian Ballet (WAB) welcomes five new Young Artist Scholarship participants to work alongside its troupe of dancers as a number of last year’s Young Artists join the Company’s Corps de Ballet.

“We’re privileged to be part of this journey that sees talented young people realise their dreams, while five 2022 Young Artists join the Corps de Ballet,” said Mr Aurélien Scannella, Artistic Director of West Australian Ballet.

Joshua Ballinger, Evangeline Beal-Attwood, Charles Dashwood, Emmanuelle Fairweather, and Indiana Scott, have joined WAB as part of the Company’s 2023 Young Artist scholarship program. They are all graduates of the Australian Ballet School.

These dancers will join Oliver Evans who joined WAB as a Young Artist in 2022, and will take part in an exciting 2023 season with West Australian Ballet including a series of shows at His Majesty’s Theatre, Ballet to Broadway, Van Gogh, and The Nutcracker, in addition to other works.

After their experience in last year’s scholarship program, Benjamin Anderson, Pamela Barnes, Rose Dalton, Sophie McDonald, and Georgie Waite, have all taken up Corps de Ballet positions with the West Australian Ballet.
