Auditions: Moulin Rouge

Moulin Rouge

The Moulin Rouge will again be coming to Australia in July 2016 to search for new recruits for the famous Parisian show.

The Moulin Rouge is one of the few permanent places in the world where dancers are the main feature of the show. With over sixty dancers needed on stage every evening, twenty of which are male dancers, our search for new talent is endless and we have been happy to employ many Australian dancers over the years due to the high standards of Australian dance schools.
Conscious of the costs involved in travelling to attend auditions and in order to give every dancer the opportunity we will also be auditioning for the first time in Adelaide and Cairns this year as well as Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

We will not only be looking for dancers to start contracts in either October 2016 or April 2017, but more so for future potential especially as we only hold auditions in Australia every two years.

Consequently we will allow dancers to audition from 16yrs, which also gives us the opportunity to give direction and things to work on to those we feel really have the possibility of joining us.

We will be looking for tall dancers, girls’ minimum height 1m72, boys 1m85, with good classical grounding and the ability to pick up modern jazz styles quickly.

Apart from hopefully getting a job offer, attending the audition is a great opportunity for professional experience, as we believe in making the day profitable and enjoyable for all.

You can find out more about the Moulin Rouge and its show at www.moulin-rouge.com  the official site and pre-inscriptions can also be made through the web site, follow More then Auditions. You can also follow us on Facebook Moulin Rouge Official.

Teachers, parents and candidates may also e-mail directly janet.pharaoh@moulinrouge.fr for further information.

Auditions will be taking place in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Cairns, Brisbane and Sydney during July. Dates and venues are listed on the Moulin Rouge website.
